BEEKEEPING TRAINING AND PRACTICAL CENTER
Beekeeping Training and Practical Center is an educational and social initiative that seamlessly integrates science, the development of beekeeping as a vital agricultural sector, and support for veterans. The project is being implemented at the Cherniatyn Vocational College of the Vinnytsia National Agrarian University with the support of the Agroprosperis Group.
Project Objectives
The initiative aims to restore a historic late 19th-century building — the Beekeeper’s Cottage — located within the picturesque grounds of the Cherniatyn College, and transform it into a modern educational and practical beekeeping center.
This center will be a place where the traditions of Ukrainian beekeeping converge with modern technologies, creating robust educational opportunities for young people and military veterans looking to master the craft or improve their professional qualifications.
Milestone achieved to date
With the support of the Agroprosperis Charity Foundation and the Group’s companies, a number of initiatives have been implemented:

• Kurland LLC: UAH 118,195
• Zhmerynka Elevator LLC: UAH 142,800
In addition to financial support, the Foundation supplied Cherniatyn College with 30 new beehives and 2 API hives, as well as a trailer and transport modules for the hives, allowing for the expansion of the educational apiary. Currently, the college’s training facility has 57 beehives and is heavily utilized by students during practical classes.
Next stage: Restoring the historic building
The project plan includes:
• Comprehensive structural repair and insulation of the historic Beekeeper’s House.
• Replacement of the electrical system, roof renovation, and installation of utilities.
• Construction of a training classroom, laboratory, and beekeeper’s workshop.
• Integration of energy-efficient building solutions and alternative energy sources.
Estimated restoration budget: approximately UAH 800,000.
Expected Outcomes
• Creation of a modern beekeeping training and advisory center.
• Professional training of new beekeepers and agronomists.
• Conducting annual training programs, seminars, and cultural events.
• Integration of the center in the region’s tourist routes.
• Involvement of military veterans in professional retraining programs.
